　　80年代新英倫新浪潮正由Duran Duran、Culture Club、Wham、Tears For Fears大肆進軍全球樂壇之際，來自挪威的三人組合A-HA大概是最能在這股風潮中橫行無阻的非英倫隊伍。85年以一首Take On Me締創包括美國、德國、挪威等全球9個國家的排行冠軍，並奪下8座MTV音樂錄影帶大獎。吉他/詞曲創作靈魂Paul Waaktaar-Savoy、主唱Morten Harket與鍵盤手Magne Furuholmen自84年成軍以來，開張的「Hunting High And Low」、「Scoundrel Days」、「Stay On These Roads」3張專輯皆是英國專輯金榜上的亞軍大作，The Sun Always Shines On TV、Take On Me、Hunting High And Low、I掯e Been Losing You、The Living Daylights(007電影「黎明生機」主題歌)、Stay On These Roads、老歌新唱曲Crying In The Rain連創12首英國單曲金榜TOP 15佳作。不願遭到電子酷風退燒而被淹沒的A-HA在90年代一到馬上以專輯「East Of The Sun, West Of The Moon」突破既有格局，但卻得到樂迷冷冷的回應，在推出93年專輯「Memorial Beach」後，A-HA以全球2370萬張專輯銷售佳績為一連串的樂壇驚嘆之聲悄然畫上休止符，三位團員分道揚鑣追逐自我紛紛推出個人專輯，Morten在95年以專輯「Wild Seeds」再創挪威20萬張的銷售紀錄，Paul在96年與老婆Lauren Savoy組成Savoy樂團，接續發表3張專輯，Magne則轉為電影製作音樂。
